I'm sorry Angel, I just don't feel sorry for this guy. He had an offer of a full scholatrship and decided to go to NYU anyway because he was "18 and didn't know better"? C'mon! Obviously he's a bright guy if he got a full scholarship. He just wanted to live in NYC and didn't care about the loans. I feel bad for the guy's situation but he brought it upon himself (it's not like a law student who didn't know s/he wouldn't be able to get a job upon graduating. This guy has a job!)

  2. Well, maybe 275K is a bit much, but the fact is that six-figure debt was something a lot of could have afforded if we had started working in, say, 2004. That's when many of us made the decision to go to law school.

  3. Just another loser lemming over the cliff. It's called natural selection.

  4. This guy's an idiot. Sure, his degree is worthless in America, but I bet you it's worth something in Asia, South America, etc., countries where people still value American degrees and no one's ever heard of Sallie Mae.

  5. Yes, he was naive, yes, it's all his fault, yes, he brought it all on himself, etc., etc...

But WHEN he defaults, and he most certainly WILL default, it's we taxpayers who will be 100% on the hook for the principal plus late fees, attorneys fees, collection costs, etc...

    You guys OK with that??
