  1. Top law school with excellent academic credentials? For 30K, they should be looking for someone who almost flunked out of a TTT.

  2. Do you have to wear a suit and tie to work? because 30k in Washington DC doesn't leave a lot of room for dry-cleaning.

I suppose it's possible if you live with mom or share a house with five or six others, have no car (though metro isn't cheap either especially if you commute on it daily), and don't ever, ever go out. the 30k is all gone between taxes, rent, ramen noodles, dry cleaning, and metro to work. oh yeah, and student loans!!!

  3. Compensation: $30k + Requirements: excellent academic credentials from a top law school, with law journal and/or clinical experience = Extreme stupidity!

  4. They should have listed the following requirement: must live at home with parents, or be independently wealthy.

They want someone from a top law school for $30K?!? You can barely wipe your ass - in D.C. - for that paltry amount! For $ome rea$on, these opportunities are not listed in the law schools' marketing materials.

  5. These TTT firms are really milking this recession for all they can get. So unless you graduated in the top 25% of your class at a T14 school and pass the bar, don't even apply! I've seen ads for paralegal and legal assistant jobs in Podunk that pay more than $30k. Of course they also say that law graduates need not apply. Why did we go to law school again?

  7. How long will all of this internet whining go on?

  8. Until qualified people can make a living wage........ so for a while, I fear.

  9. Did anyone actually respond to the ad & call these people out for being morons? I've done that for jobs offering crazy low wages since I made $5K less working at a mid-size Atlanta firm pre-law school.

Not to mention being a business person myself & knowing for a fact they're going to have a high turnover for the position w/that rate + it screams "I don't appreciate your contribution & won't respect you at all."
